Each story was so well written and I loved all the characters, especially Lady Viola and Lord Brock Haversham! I really enjoyed the development of key characters from story to story. I was also happy that it wasn't just the women struggling with their pasts and upbringing but the men also had to overcome obstacles. Highly recommend this series!Product details

I haven't been able to force myself to read all the books in the collection. Found myself skimming what I did read just to get finished.

Great plot and wonderful characters. Not tragic but healthy suspense. Happy I purchased the series. Love Christina McKnight's writing. I am now a fan.
This series kept me on the edge of my chair or holding my breath waiting for the next shoe to fall. From the first to the last book, they were all good. Lots of twists and turns throughout the entire series.
This whole series is a tale of lost love to a new generation to find what it means to overcome all the unhappiness and pain. To discover , what parents do to make a person loving and good or one who is afraid and damaged. In the end everything is figured out and each is happy and complete.
I might give these books a four had it not been for all the typos, punctuation errors and grammatical errors. And there are a lot! The stories are good, not spectacular, but I did want to find out what happened to each character. There is a definite need for a copy editor, as some parts of the stories are confusing and don't flow. Read these if you don't want to think too hard. There is a part in the last book that wasn't reconciled. When Alex went to his dead father's home, there was an old man living there. It was never explained who he was and why he was living there. I don't like loose ends.
I gave this book 3 stars not because the stories and characters weren't outstanding, but because it had some sex scenes that were not acceptable to me. I think the stories and characters were aceptional. There were pickpockets, spies, revenge, mystery, murder, secrets, romance and love. The author is a very talented story teller. I hate to see a talented writer cheat herself and also a bigger audience by to much sex information. Otherwise the rating would have a ++ 5 star rating. As I said before, the story and characters are of the first water.
